Taran Wanderer by Lloyd Alexander. I read (some of) these books many years ago in school. In Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain, however, each novel tells a distinct story that reveals a step in the maturation of Taran, the main character. Right now I'm reading Taran Wanderer,which is the fourth book in a five-book series called The Chronicles of Prydain by the glorious Lloyd Alexander. In 1966, his book The Black Cauldron (The black cauldron) was Honorary Book prestigious Newbery Medal, which finally succeeded in 1969 with The High King (The Great King), the fifth and final volume of the Chronicles of Prydain. Omnibus version containing the books "Taran Wanderer" and "The High King" (4 & 5 in the Chronicles of Prydain). The books have been nominated for and won awards in the world of children's literature.
